Road Maintenance Electrified
RME TR400 Lithium trailer on a road repair job

Road repair

Pothole repair and road marking, from a single trailer.

The TR400 Lithium is a hybrid trailer built on a single, proven platform, and is configured to suit the application you need it for.

Why it matters

One machine for road repair and marking, instead of two.

For road marking crews, it's a quiet, practical, and efficient machine for hand-applying thermoplastics, purpose-built for smaller-scale marking work in urban areas.

For road repair and maintenance crews, the same platform is configured to apply bitumen and mastic asphalt, making it an effective tool for pothole repair and patch work.

RME TR400 configured for both road marking and road repair

On site

Road repair equipment built for the way crews actually work.

Road repair happens in traffic, in bad weather, and often at short notice. The equipment has to cope with that.

Quiet, low-emission operation.

Its hybrid design makes it well suited to urban streets, residential areas, and other noise- and emission-sensitive worksites.

Practical and efficient.

Designed for the realities of patch work — get in, repair the damage, move on to the next job. Connected to the car or truck TR400 is easy to maneuver also on narrow city streets.

A platform you can trust.

The same reliable hybrid trailer underpins both versions, so whichever configuration you choose, you're getting proven engineering behind it.

Proven

Three reasons crews choose RMEs Lithium trailer.

The savings are not in the purchase price. They are in everything that happens after it.

Traffic

Connect and drive

Get in, repair the damage, move on to the next job. Connected to the car or truck TR400 is easy to maneuver also on narrow city streets.

Parts

One parts list, one supplier

The pumps, hoses and heating components are shared across both jobs. One stock holding covers repair and marking, and RME keeps around 1,000 components on the shelf.

Swedish

Built to run, season after season

Designed and manufactured in Malmö for Nordic conditions. Thirty years of building road equipment that has to work in the cold and the wet, not just in a brochure.

The machine

The TR400 as road repair equipment.

The TR400 Lithium is a hybrid trailer built around a 400 litre oil-jacketed preheater. For repair work it carries and dispenses bitumen and mastic asphalt for pothole filling, crack sealing and patch repair. The oil jacket means the material never touches a flame, so it heats evenly and does not burn. That matters more on repair work than on marking, because a load often sits at temperature for hours between patches.

Questions

Common questions about road repair with the TR400.

What crews ask before they order

Can the TR400 be used for pothole repair?

Yes. The TR400 is configured for both road marking and road repair as standard. It handles pothole filling, crack sealing and patch repair using the same 400 litre preheater that feeds the marking work.

What repair materials does it handle?

Thermoplastic in both sacked and block form, loaded through the front hatch without preparation. Tell us the material specification you work to and we will confirm compatibility before you order.

Do I need separate equipment for marking and repair?

No. That is the point of the machine. The same preheater and dispensing system serve both jobs, so one trailer covers work that normally needs two.

Is it suitable for municipal road maintenance?

Yes. Lower noise and lower emissions than a diesel-only equivalent make it easier to work in residential areas and to meet the environmental criteria that increasingly appear in public tenders.

What is the lead time?

Most configurations are available from stock. Contact us and we will confirm availability and delivery time for your requirements.

Need something more specific?

Tell us the repair work you do and the vehicle you run. We will advise on configuration before you commit to anything.

Start the conversation

Tell us what your road repair operation needs.

Describe the work, the materials and the vehicle you run. We will specify the right configuration and confirm what is in stock.
